Privacy Policy
How we handle the personal data you share with us through this site.
The short version
- We collect what you type into the three forms on this site, the technical data every web server records, and anonymous statistics about visits.
- No cookies of our own. No advertising or social-media trackers. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you.
- We never sell your personal data and never hand it to anyone for their own marketing.
- A person reads your application. No algorithm decides anything about you — see Job applicants and candidates.
- You can ask us to show you, correct or delete what we hold, at any time, at privacy@anthrahumanoids.com.
The rest of this page is the detail behind those five points.
Who we are
This website is operated by Anthra Humanoids (“we”, “us”), a business based in Washington State, United States, and not yet incorporated. We decide why and how the personal data described here is used — in data-protection language we are the controller. Once the company is incorporated we will publish its legal name and registered address here.
Questions, requests and complaints about privacy go to privacy@anthrahumanoids.com, and we answer every one.
What we collect, and why
We collect what you give us through the forms on this site, anything you send us directly, the technical data any web server records, and anonymous visit statistics. Fields marked with an asterisk on a form are the ones we need to deal with your request; the rest are yours to leave blank.
| When | Data | Why | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Contact form | Name, work email, company, and the message you write | To answer your enquiry and arrange a first conversation. | 24 months after our last exchange |
| Updates and news | Email address, and the date you signed up | To send occasional updates about Anthra Humanoids. Every email has an unsubscribe link and our postal address, as US law requires. | Until you unsubscribe, then a note that you did so |
| Job application | See Job applicants and candidates below | To assess your application and talk to you about it. | 12 months, or 24 months if you ask to stay on file |
| Writing to us directly | Your email address and whatever you put in the message | To reply. | 24 months after our last exchange |
| Every visit | IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the time (standard server logs) | To keep the site up, secure and free of abuse. | 30 days |
| Every visit: statistics | The page you open, the site that sent you, your browser, operating system and device type, your country, and how fast the page loaded | To see which pages are read and how fast the site is. We see only totals, never a record of one person. See Cookies, analytics and tracking. | Up to six months, in Cloudflare's reports |
We do not buy personal data, build profiles, or enrich what you give us with data bought from brokers.
Job applicants and candidates
This section is about what happens to a CV. It applies to you whether you applied through our Careers page, sent us a CV another way, or were put forward by someone else. For applicants in California it is also our notice at collection. Everything else in this policy applies to you as well.
What we collect from you
- Who you are and how to reach you — first and last name, email address, phone number, country and city. These are the required fields on the application form.
- Your CV or resume — either the file you attach (pdf, doc, docx, txt or rtf) or the text you paste in, and everything you chose to put in it: work history, employers and dates, education, qualifications, skills, languages, publications, patents, clearances, referees, and anything else you included.
- Links you give us — your LinkedIn profile and personal website, and whatever is publicly visible there when we look.
- What comes after — our correspondence with you, interview scheduling and notes, our assessment of your application, and the terms we discuss if we make you an offer.
If you would rather not use the form, write to privacy@anthrahumanoids.com and we will tell you the minimum we need.
CVs that reach us from someone else
Your details may also reach us without you writing to us first: from a recruiter or staffing agency, from someone who refers you, from a professional network or public profile while we are looking for candidates, or from a referee you named. We then hold the same kinds of information listed above, and we got them from whoever put you forward.
If your details reach us this way, we will tell you where we got them when we first contact you, and you can ask us to delete them at any time. We expect anyone who sends us a CV to have been entitled to do so and to have told you about it. We do not pay for CV databases and we do not accept bulk candidate lists.
Why we use it
| What we do | Why |
|---|---|
| Read and assess your application against the role | To decide whether to take it forward |
| Contact you, arrange interviews, give you an answer either way | To run a clear and respectful process |
| Keep a record of the application and of how it was decided | To show the process was fair, to meet our legal duty to keep hiring records, and to answer a complaint or a claim |
| Keep your profile on file for roles that open later | So we can come back to you when something fits — only if you agree, and you can change your mind at any time |
| Take up references, or run a background check for certain roles | To confirm what we have been told, before an offer is final — only with your permission |
A person reads your application, not an algorithm
We read every application ourselves. We do not use automated screening, CV-ranking or scoring software, AI analysis of video interviews, or any other automated tool to decide anything about you, and no decision about your application is made solely by automated means. If that ever changes we will update this page and tell applicants before the tool is used — what it looks at, how it works in general terms, and how to ask for a different route. That is also what rules such as New York City's Local Law 144 and the Illinois Artificial Intelligence Video Interview Act require, and we would follow them.
Please leave sensitive details out
We do not need — and ask you not to send — information about your health or disabilities, racial or ethnic origin, religion or beliefs, political opinions, trade-union membership, sex life or sexual orientation, biometric data, or a photograph of yourself. CV templates in some countries include a photo, a date of birth or a marital status by default; please take them out if you can.
If sensitive information reaches us anyway, we do not use it to assess you. We remove it where we reasonably can and otherwise keep it no longer than the rest of your application. If we ever genuinely need such information — to arrange an adjustment so you can attend an interview, for instance — we will ask you for it separately and say why.
What we do not ask for
We do not ask about your salary history, your age or date of birth, your family or marital status, your citizenship beyond whether you are legally able to work where the role is based, or your criminal record. Where a role genuinely requires proof of the right to work or a background check, we ask after we have made you an offer, with your consent, and only as the law allows. If we ever ask a third party to run a background check in the United States, you will get the separate written notice and give the authorisation the Fair Credit Reporting Act requires before anything starts.
How long we keep your application
- If we do not hire you: 12 months after the role is filled or the process ends. We keep applications at least that long because United States equal-employment rules require hiring records to be retained for a year, and because that is the window in which our decision might reasonably be questioned.
- If you ask to stay on file: up to 24 months from your last contact with us, and only if you told us that is fine. We will ask again before keeping you longer, and you can stop it at any time by writing to privacy@anthrahumanoids.com.
- If we hire you: your application becomes part of your employment record, kept under the retention rules we will give you when you join.
- If there is a complaint or a legal claim: we keep whatever is relevant to it until it is resolved.
When a period runs out we delete the file and the form entry, or strip out everything that identifies you. Deleted copies drop out of our providers’ backups shortly after, usually within 90 days.
Who sees your application
Inside Anthra Humanoids: the people involved in filling the role, and nobody else. Outside: Tally, which runs the application form and stores your CV, Microsoft, whose Outlook service holds our email, and Cloudflare, which hosts this site — see Who else sees your data. They act on our instructions and may not use your CV for anything of their own. We do not pass your CV to other employers and we never publish it.
Your rights as a candidate
You can ask to see what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted — including while a process is live, though withdrawing your data usually means we can no longer consider you. Write to privacy@anthrahumanoids.com. Asking will never count against you in a current or future application.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
We set no cookies of our own, and the site runs no advertising and no social-media trackers. Fonts, images and styles come from our own domain. Three things come from the providers that run the site:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits. Cloudflare adds a small script to each page, loaded from
static.cloudflareinsights.com. It reports the page you opened, the site that sent you, your browser, operating system and device type, your country, and how fast the page loaded. It stores nothing on your device: no cookies and no local storage. Cloudflare states that it does not fingerprint visitors or follow them across websites. We see totals only, never a record of any one person. If your browser blocks the script, the site works exactly the same. - Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may set a short-lived security cookie if it needs to check that a visitor is a person and not a bot. It is used for that alone.
- Tally supplies the application form on the Careers page. When that page loads, the form is fetched from Tally, so Tally receives your IP address and browser details, and it may set cookies the form needs in order to work.
None of this is used to profile you or to advertise to you, and nothing here needs your permission under the laws that apply to us. That is why you see no cookie banner. If this ever changes we will update this page and, where the law requires it, ask your permission first.
Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no agreed standard for how a site should answer it, and because we do not track anyone across websites there is nothing for the signal to switch off — so we do not behave differently when we receive one. We also do not let third parties collect personal information about what you do across other websites from here. California law requires us to say this plainly.
Who else sees your data
We share personal data only with the providers that help us run this site and handle what you send, under terms that require them to protect it. None of them may use it to advertise to you:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) — hosting, security, server logs and visit statistics, delivering contact-form messages to our inbox, and forwarding email sent to our addresses;
- Tally (Belgium) — the application form, including storing CVs and other files you upload;
- Kit (United States) — keeping the updates list and sending the updates email;
- Microsoft Corporation (United States) — our email inbox (Outlook), where messages to our addresses and form notifications arrive.
Beyond that, we disclose personal data only when the law compels us to, when we need to establish or defend a legal claim, or to protect someone's safety. If we are ever bought, merged or wound up, data may pass to whoever takes over, and we will tell you before that changes anything in this policy.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We never have.
Where your data is processed
We are based in the United States. Our providers store what you send us in two places: Cloudflare, Kit and Microsoft in the United States, and Tally — which holds applications, including CVs — on servers in the European Union. Wherever it sits, we control it and this policy applies.
If you contact us from outside the United States, your data will be processed in countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those where you live.
Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete it;
- stop using it for a particular purpose;
- stop emailing you — use the unsubscribe link in any update, or just say so.
Write to privacy@anthrahumanoids.com. We reply within 30 days. We may need enough information to be confident it is really you asking. It costs nothing, and we will never treat you worse for asking. If we cannot do what you want — because we are required to keep a hiring record, say — we will tell you why.
You can also ask someone to make a request on your behalf; we will check that they are authorised.
If you are in California
The California Consumer Privacy Act applies to businesses above certain size thresholds. We are a young company and we do not currently meet them, but we have written this policy to give you these rights anyway, and we will say so here when the CCPA does apply to us.
In the twelve months before the date at the top of this page we collected these categories of personal information, for the purposes described above: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address); customer records (phone number, employer); internet activity (pages requested, browser and device type); geolocation only at the level of country and city, which you type in yourself; professional or employment information (your CV, work history, qualifications); and education information. We collected them from you, and for candidates sometimes from a recruiter or referrer. We disclosed them for business purposes only to the providers listed above.
We do not sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those words, we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information beyond what the CCPA permits without a right to limit, and we have not sold or shared the personal information of anyone under 16. You have the right to know, to delete, to correct, to opt out of sale or sharing (there is nothing to opt out of), and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of them. Applicants and employees have these rights too. Write to privacy@anthrahumanoids.com.
If you are in Nevada
We do not sell covered information as Nevada law defines it. If you want to submit a verified opt-out request anyway, the designated address is privacy@anthrahumanoids.com.
If you are in Washington or another US state
We are based in Washington State, which has no general consumer privacy law. We do not collect the consumer health data regulated by Washington’s My Health My Data Act.
A growing number of other states — Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware and others — give residents rights to access, correct, delete and port their personal data, to opt out of targeted advertising, sale and profiling, and to appeal a refusal. Most of these laws only bind companies above a size threshold that we do not currently meet. We will honour the requests regardless: write to privacy@anthrahumanoids.com, and if we turn you down you may appeal to the same address and then complain to your state attorney general.
Children
This site is meant for professionals. It is not directed at anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to privacy@anthrahumanoids.com and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Access to what you submit is limited to the people who need it to answer you, protected by strong authentication, and our providers are chosen partly on their security record. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page as the site, the company or the law changes. The date at the top always tells you when it last changed. If a change materially affects how we use data you already gave us, we will tell those affected by email before it takes effect.
